About Tasha Walker

Tasha discovered yoga in 2008 whilst training at her gym, she swiftly dropped all her weights training, running and aerobics classes for yoga, and within a year also discovered both bikram and kundalini yoga and began to practice daily spending all her spare time and money on various yoga and meditation work shops, as well as going abroad and travelling SE Asia and India to including several retreats, before moving on to her chosen path of teacher training which she successfully completed in India. In 2012 Tasha left her job in the NHS to become a full time yoga instructor. Up until Tasha discovered yoga she suffered from asthma and frequent colds and chest infections, within a year of practising these have all been a thing of the past, she has not used an inhaler in 4 years and has helped and encouraged others to take the same path through correct training of the breathe and postures. Having worked as a medical PA in a stressful office environment for many years Tasha learnt first hand how yoga & meditation, as well as the healing arts can help to alleviate stress and anxiety. As well as yoga she now specialises in workshops and courses involving both yoga and meditation aimed at reducing stress at home and in the work place. As a student she studied psychology and is now furthering this interest by studying yoga for the mind and also holds specialised classes aimed for helping depression and anxiety through yoga. Tasha has powerful healing abilities working as a reiki master and metatronic healing energies with both animals and people. These healing abilities shine through in her yoga teaching. After one of Tasha's classes you leave energised with the feeling of a healing session as well as fully worked out from her well known creative dynamic flow work outs. Her classes are described as hathalini / cosmic flow based which is a powerful fusion of hatha flow and kundalini yoga with the foundations of ashtanga and always end with a small sound bath and healing meditation making the whole experience extremely creative and unique. Whilst also loving to teach yin yoga for a more relaxed and deeper practice.Tasha aims to intelligently weave together her vast knowledge of kundalini, Yin, Ashtanga, Hatha, Bikram and Vinyasa Yoga in a delightful and effective flow. Her thorough teacher training in ashtanga yoga has left her with a great eye for detail in correcting student's alignment and foundation work as well as some kundalini training leaving her with a huge insight into the power of the breathe and how by teaching her students specific breath techniques they have the power to change not just their minds, bodies and emotions but also to change their lives. She believes everyone can live pain free lives if we learn to listen to our bodies and our hearts. All her classes are both powerfully thought provoking and inspiring. Tasha currently teaches small and large group classes and one to ones in Wood Green and surrounding parts of North London. During the summer months she loves to make the most of the outdoors and takes her classes to various North London parks to include Primrose Hill with a real taste of the Indian experience. As well as teaching corporate classes in Westminster and cover classes at David Lloyds, Finchley. Website
