Children's Yoga Club – Banstead Infant School

Objectives
Children Yoga aims to help children develop a sense of awareness of their body and emotions through exercise, sound, Breathing, balance, games, storytelling and Relaxation. It is a fun practice that offers to all children the opportunity to express themselves through their body in a controlled, precise and fun way.

Who’s it for?
The Children Yoga Club at Banstead Infant School is offered to R-Y1-Y2 year groups as an After School Club in the Atrium in groups of max 12 children.

Prerequisites
No experience required

What To Bring
Children practice barefoot (usually) on Gym Mats with their instructor. The class will follow school guidelines for equipment use. The school does not encourage bringing additional snacks, ask for a fruit from the classroom instead if necessary.

Clothing
Arrive in your School PE Kit or leggings/tracksuit bottoms and Tshirt. Bring your school bag and uniform ready to go home after the class

Location
Atrium – starts 3.20pm – collect at 4.15pm from the back main cloakroom

Spring Term Dates 2026:  3rd Mar, 10th Mar, 17th Mar, 24th Mar

Summer Term Dates 2026: 11 Sessions on 21st Apr, 28th Apr, 5th May, 12th May, 19th May, 2nd Jun, 9th Jun, 16th Jun, 23rd Jun, 30th Jun, 7th July (no class on 26th May Half-term)
