Share & Share & Like

One of the wonderful things about yoga is that everyone who practices connects with it on different levels. For someone sitting in yoga classroom for the first time, chanting “om”, or bowing namaste might seem odd, or even intimidating. In reality, the spiritual element of yoga is completely optional, and a good yoga teacher will make students feel comfortable to participate or opt out of this element of the class. If you want to take a more secular approach, and use yoga simply as a means of excessive, odds are there is a perfect yoga  class for you!

While I don’t connect with all of the spiritual elements (it took me a few years to gain the courage to join in on the “om”) there are principles that I’ve learned in the yoga classroom that I find can apply to my life on a number of levels.
