To All Pregnant Ladies only: You are welcome to attend whether in Trimester II or Trimester III of your Pregnancy and whether you are already attending our Pregnancy Yoga Course or not.
Why a Labour Preparation Workshop
If you are attending our Pregnancy Yoga Course, then you will have already practiced the breathing techniques essential for a natural birth and the postures to make you birth fit for an active birth.
In fact, we used to include this class as part of our regular Pregnancy Yoga Course, however the material has now become too comprehensive to squeeze in one hour class. It is a subject that we would not want to rush and we encourage you to ask questions during this Labour Preparation Workshop.
What you will learn in your Labour Preparation Workshop
During this morning 2hour Labour Preparation Yoga Workshop, you will prepare yourself for your birth, gaining a practical understanding of:
- The Physiology of Birth, role of Hormones in First Stage and Second Stage Labour
- What Yoga Postures to use to accelerate the First Stage Labour
- What Breathing Techniques to use in first stage, transition and second stage
- Use Yoga Relaxation Postures and Relaxation/Visualisation exercises for confidence building and birth preparation.
- Emotional Preparation: when Baby arrives
- Third Stage: What can happen in Third Stage
