  • Greetings and introduction of the session theme (seasonal)
  • Warm up Poses with anatomical reference to joints, muscles and bones
  • Standing up balance Yoga sequence
  • Long Yoga sequence using an exciting theme or story
  • Partner Yoga or Yoga game
  • Short Breathing practice
  • Closing Poses
  • Relaxation

Children’s Yoga Course – St Johns Primary School Redhill

Objectives
Children Yoga aims to help children develop a sense of awareness of their body and emotions through exercise, sound, Breathing, balance, games, story telling and Relaxation. It is a fun practice that offers to all children the opportunity to express themselves through their body in a controlled and precise way.

Who’s it for?
Children Yoga at St Johns Primary School is offered to all Year groups from Year 1 to Year 6 in groups of 12 maximum size for children attending the school only.

Prerequisites
No experience required

What To Bring
Children practice barefoot on Gym Mats in a circle with their instructor.

Clothing
Their School PE Kit or leggings/tracksuit bottoms and Tshirt

Spring Term Dates: 9 Sessions on 13th Jan, 20th Jan, 27th Jan, 3rd Feb, 10th Feb, 24th Feb, 2nd Mar, 16th Mar, 23rd Mar (no class on 9th March Inset Day or 17th Feb Half-Term)

Booking Terms and Conditions
Please book on-line and register your child’s name for the class although your billing details will be in your name. All members to join at the start of the term.
Refunds and/or cancellations will only be accepted up to 7 days before the start of the term unless the space can be sold to somebody else.
