Why would anyone come up with a name like Yogamoo?

Well this is how the story goes..

Yogamoo is a local Reigate and Redhill Yoga company initially set up by Phillip Turner in 2006 to celebrate the fact Laurence started teaching Yoga. At the time Laurence was fully employed with an international electronics company and travelled regularly for work. The Yogamoo site was going to specialise in Yoga Products trading.

The name was thought of during a summer holiday in the south of France after a little ‘cow’character, a graphics shown on T-shirts, postcards, clothing etc…in that area. We named the character the Yogamoo. The graphics became difficult to reproduce in Yoga poses however the name stayed.

Yogamoo carried on selling Yoga DVDs on a European basis and soon became a major retailer in this niche market, building relationship with key individuals and yoga suppliers to ensure sufficient margin and fast service. Yogamoo took advantage of a window of opportunity in a short life cycle market.

When Laurence was made redundant in October 2009 the natural move for Yogamoo was to reposition itself and serve the rapid expansion of Laurences classes and qualifications including the new Pregnancy Yoga Classes, monthly Yoga Workshops and yoga classes at the central Reigate venue.

Sometimes we are misspelled as Yoga Moo but this is still us too!
