There’s more to living life like a yogi than perfecting your asanas and chanting for your chakras. As the saying goes ‘the body is a temple’ and it is our greatest responsibility to take care of it. Even the most ancient gurus held this wisdom – and we should too!
The dangers of conventional deodorant …
Deodorant is a daily necessity for most of us and even more so when you’re ready to get a sweat on at your favourite yoga class! But the harmful ingredients listed on your average aerosol or roll-on put a lot of stress on the body. Parabens, Silica, Triclosan and synthetic fragrances are just a few of the typical offenders. When we put these chemicals on our skin, they are readily absorbed by the body.
What’s more, your conventional antiperspirant will stop the body from eliminating toxins altogether. Aluminium, found in nearly every high street brand, prevents you from sweating and has been linked to numerous chronic diseases including Alzheimers and Breast Cancer.
