Thank you for your help raising money for charity on International Yoga Day, we sent a £150 donation to Leatherhead charity Rainbow Trust.
I had never practised 108 Sun Salutations before however, I can tell you 3 surprising things about this practice shared around the world by many Yogis in summer celebrations:-
1 – It was not boring and really felt like meditative spinal movements!
2 – It did not hurt any of my arms joints or triggered any bicep tendon inflammation.
3 – Ouch! my calves and hamstrings were crying for stretch for 3 days.
Besides, everyone out there who is looking for flexibility, try it out, practice 5 – 8 rounds Sun Salutations every day and see your flexibility increase massively. The Sun Salutations practice has been inherited from Ashtanga Yoga. For more on Ashtanga, come along to our Ashtanga Workshop next week 8th July with Lisa Marie (LM) Bertoni.
Our timetable is preparing to slow down for the Summer months, however, there are still plenty of great courses to take you to the next step in your Yoga practice with Beginners Level 2 starting this Wednesday and just 4 weeks Meditation Course with Jackie starting this Tuesday to prepare for your new ‘Zen' you in September. What better time than summer to learn to slow down.
From 24th July to 30th August, our drop-in class timetable is also slowing down, however we still have a drop-in class every day for you to attend and we would love you to take full advantage of it.
– Any drop in participants can bring a friend once free of charge
– Any 1 weekly class member is welcome to 2 sessions/week
– Any Daytime Unlimited is welcome to the evening and weekend classes
Finally, come and celebrate Summer with us in music, on Thursday 6th July 7 pm – 8 pm the Vinyasa Class will be choreographed to music with Lisa-Marie and we will all be going for drinks at Joules afterwards (garden). Frances, Lisa-Marie, Jackie and myself are all looking forward to it (just book the usual 7 pm Vinyasa from our timetable).
See you soon
