Description

Product Description
Spring is a time of growth and renewal. Just as nature follows its cycle, so do
the energies within us. This workshop will allow us an opportunity to emerge
from our “winter hibernation” and embrace the choice to begin again. We will
focus on the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians which support the body’s natural
digestive and detoxification processes.

Yin is a slow practice where poses are entered gently and compassionately.
The poses are held for a few minutes to allow the fascia (connective tissue) to
stretch and hydrate, to relieve pressure on the joints, and to bring a meditative
quality to the stillness. Each exhale invites a sense of softening and letting go,
and each inhale brings nourishment, warmth and vitality.

Objectives

  • To understand the underlying principles of Yin, and to experience some
    of the poses.
  • To have a basic understanding of the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians
    and their qualities.
  • To investigate the meditative, calming and renewing qualities of a Yin
    practice.

Who’s it for?
This workshop truly is for all. If you are an athlete, experienced yoga
practitioner, or “not flexible enough to do yoga”, this session with help
lengthen tight muscles and fascia. If you are a beginner, this session is paced
slowly, giving you time to get in and out of poses comfortably, confidently, and
safely. If you are stressed, this session will be a treat, just your time to slow
down. This is not necessarily an easy workshop. It is restorative and gentle,
but comes with its own challenges. Everyone can benefit from this workshop.
